Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Setter with 5 years of hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing machines for production, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining high-quality standards in machining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up CNC machines (lathe, milling, turning, etc.) according to job specifications and engineering drawings. Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine parameters. Perform test runs and first-off inspections to verify accuracy. Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and minimize waste. Collaborate with CNC operators and programmers to troubleshoot issues. Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety standards and production protocols. Document setup procedures and maintain accurate records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Setter in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming basics. Familiarity with various CNC machines (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, etc.). Knowledge of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Education:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field
