Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Setter to set up and prepare CNC machines for efficient production runs. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine setup, tooling, and quality checks in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

:

Set up CNC machines (e.g., turning, milling, grinding, or drilling). Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders. Load CNC programs and verify tool paths. Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and jigs. Make minor program adjustments if required. Perform first-off inspection and ensure quality compliance. Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning. Conduct routine maintenance and report major issues. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Collaborate with CNC Operators and Quality Inspectors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proven experience as a CNC Setter in a manufacturing unit. Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming concepts. Knowledge of machining tools and measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, dial gauge). Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills

:

Experience with multiple CNC machine types (e.g., VMC, HMC, Lathe). Basic understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control). Ability to train or guide junior operators.
