Job Description

Setup and Operation:

Mount and secure materials, install and adjust cutting tools, and set up machine parameters based on blueprints or digital files.

Programming and Execution:

May involve programming the machine using G-code or other software to guide the cutting process, or they may work with pre-programmed files.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished parts for accuracy, proper dimensions, and adherence to quality standards using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.

Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance on the machine, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, and report any issues to supervisors.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Production Tracking:

Maintain records of production, including material usage, machine settings, and completed parts.

Material Handling:

Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve minor issues with the machine or program to minimize downtime.
