Key Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (lathe, mill, router, etc.) to produce precision components. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications. Create and edit CNC programs using G-code or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360). Perform machine setup, including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and part probing. Conduct first article inspections and adjust programs or tooling as needed. Troubleshoot machine or programming errors and make real-time corrections. Maintain accurate job and production records. Ensure consistent part quality through in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments. Follow safety procedures and keep work area clean and organized.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; CNC Machinist or Programming certificate is a plus. 2+ years of experience in CNC machining and programming. Proficiency with G-code, M-code, and CNC control systems (e.g., FANUC, HAAS, Siemens). Experience using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM). Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and tolerances. Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with multi-axis machines (3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis). Experience in a production or job-shop environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. CNC machine maintenance knowledge. 2+ years of experience in CNC machining and programming. Proficiency with G-code, M-code, and CNC control systems (e.g., FANUC, HAAS, Siemens).
