Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the machine shop and ensuring efficient production processes, Planning, quality control, achieving the customer schedules, management of manpower. The candidate should have through knowledge of VTL, VMC, CNC, HMC. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and continuous process improvement to meet organizational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. Oversee production schedules, ensuring timely completion of machined casting to the customers Responsible for productivity and OEE Manage and optimize the use of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment. Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of production. Coordinate with other departments, such as planning, procurement, maintenance, Sales and quality assurance. Monitor and analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Prepare and present detailed reports on operational performance to the management Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Address and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
Tasks to be delivered

OEE 80% Compliance with all the customers - Planning / Schedule adherence of the customer Effective planning resource utilization - men and materials Methods / Process Engineering / driving system across the units Maintenance (MTTR / MTBF) Cost reduction / Savings measures Quality Systems and Rejections Continuous improvements to improve cycle time, Quality, Productivity Introduction of autonomous / self-managed teams in Unit 3 Ensuring Safety of men, machine and assets Team Management and collaborative approach Change Management and driving performance culture
Requirements

Candidate should Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with more than 12 years of experience and out of which minimum 2 years of Managerial experience Strong understanding of machine shop Excellent leadership and organizational skills and a result-oriented person. Candidate should have excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work with cross functional teams.
