Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with the ability to read blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments. This role is crucial for ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet strict specifications.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machines including CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and press brake machines. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to create accurate machining instructions. Set up and operate CNC equipment, ensuring proper tooling and materials are used. Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce waste. Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the manufacturing facility. Participate in assembly line operations as needed, including materials handling and fabrication tasks.

Skills

Proficient in CNC programming with experience in Fanuc controls preferred. Knowledge of CAM programming techniques for efficient machining processes. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their applications in manufacturing. Experience operating various machinery including stamping presses, flexo presses, and welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively. Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for precise manufacturing. Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tasks. Previous factory or warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks for design purposes is a plus.
