Job Description

A CNC Operator

sets up, operates, and maintains computer numerical control (CNC) machines to precisely cut, shape, and finish materials into parts according to blueprints and specifications.

Key responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, calibrating and programming machines, loading and unloading raw materials, performing quality inspections, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring a clean and safe work area.

Core Responsibilities:

Machine Setup & Operation:

Load raw materials, set up the machine by entering programs and codes, and operate CNC equipment to produce parts with high precision.

Blueprint Interpretation:

Study technical drawings and blueprints to understand project specifications and translate them into machine instructions.

Maintenance & Cleaning:

Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance on machinery to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished parts using specialized instruments to verify they meet quality standards and specifications.

Safety & Compliance:

Adhere strictly to company policies, safety protocols, and proper handling techniques for materials and machinery.

Documentation:

Keep detailed records of machine operations, production runs, and any issues encountered.

Key Skills:

Mechanical Aptitude:

A strong understanding of how machines work and how to troubleshoot issues.

Attention to Detail:

Essential for accurately reading blueprints and ensuring precision in parts.

Mathematical Skills:

Required for calculations related to measurements, speeds, and feeds.

Computer Skills:

A basic understanding of software and the programming interface for CNC machines.
