We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate laser cutting machines according to job specifications and material requirements. Load and unload materials onto the laser cutting machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning. Program and adjust machine parameters such as speed, power, and focal length to achieve optimal cutting results. Monitor the cutting process and inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of scrap materials and debris. Coordinate with supervisors and engineering teams to resolve production issues and improve processes. Record production data and maintain accurate records of material usage, production output, and machine maintenance.

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, or mechanical assembly is advantageous Strong understanding of sheet metal work and the use of hand tools and tooling equipment Good knowledge of mechanical principles relevant to CNC operation Ability to perform basic maths calculations necessary for setting up machines and measuring parts Familiarity with basic assembly processes and component fitting Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately Organised, proactive, with good problem-solving skills
