Job Description

Key Responsibilities CNC Machine Operation

Operate CNC Turning / VMC / HMC machines for bogie components Load and unload heavy components using cranes, hoists, or fixtures Set tools, offsets, and fixtures as per job requirements Run approved CNC programs and monitor machining operations
Production & Quality Control

Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and job cards Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc. Ensure machining as per specified tolerances and surface finish Perform in-process inspection and record results Identify non-conformities and report to supervisor or QC
Machine & Tool Care

Conduct routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance Replace cutting tools and inserts as required Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, fixtures, and gauges Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices
Safety & Compliance

Follow safety procedures for heavy components and rotating machinery Use PPE and comply with shop-floor safety rules Support compliance with railway and customer quality requirements
Coordination & Productivity

Coordinate with supervisors, QC engineers, and maintenance teams Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
Qualifications & Experience Education

ITI / Diploma in: CNC Machining Turner Machinist Fitter
Experience

2-3 years of CNC operating experience in: Bogie manufacturing Rolling stock Heavy engineering or rail component manufacturing

Pay: ?16,600.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
