Key Responsibilities:

Operate CNC bending/press brake machines to bend steel sheets and plates as per job specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings, bending charts, and job instructions. Set up the machine--including tooling selection, die installation, programming, and parameter adjustments. Enter bending programs into the CNC machine or load existing programs as required. Inspect material grade, thickness, and dimensions before processing. Perform trials and adjust machine settings to achieve accurate bend angles and dimensions. Ensure proper clamping, alignment, and handling of materials. Monitor machine operations to prevent defects, damages, or safety hazards. Conduct in-process inspection using measuring tools (vernier, protractor, height gauge, angle meter, etc.). Maintain production logs, bending reports, and job cards. Perform daily machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication. Follow all safety protocols, PPE usage, and operational guidelines. Report machine issues, tool wear, or material discrepancies to the supervisor or maintenance team.

Skills & Competencies:

Hands-on experience in CNC press brake / bending machines (Amada, Bystronic, Yawei, Haco, etc.). Good understanding of sheet metal bending techniques and tooling. Ability to read fabrication drawings and bending sequences. Sound knowledge of CNC programming (basic or advanced). Precision measurement skills and attention to detail. Basic troubleshooting and machine operation knowledge. Physical fitness and ability to handle sheet-metal components.

Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Machinist, or related mechanical trade (preferred). 2+ years of experience operating CNC bending/press brake machines, preferably in fabrication/PEB industry.
