Job Title and Overview

Job Title: CNC VMC Operator Job Type: Full-time Job Overview: The CNC VMC Operator will set up and run Vertical Machining Centers, load programs and tools, and ensure that parts produced meet dimensional and surface-finish requirements as per engineering drawings and work instructions. The role supports continuous production, machine care, and adherence to safety and 5S practices on the shop floor.?

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC VMC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and raw material as per job card or setup sheet.? Load, call, and run CNC programs, adjust tool offsets, feeds, and speeds to achieve required accuracy and productivity.? Read and interpret engineering drawings, job cards, and measuring reports to understand dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequence.? Inspect in?process and finished components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments, recording results as required.? Perform basic preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, coolant level checks, and reporting any abnormal noise, vibration, or tool wear to the supervisor.? Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and 5S/housekeeping standards to keep the work area clean and safe.?

Requirements

Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die, Production, or equivalent; 10th/12th with relevant experience can also be considered.? Experience: 1-3 years of hands?on experience as CNC or VMC Operator in a machining or manufacturing industry (Fresher with good training may be considered as Trainee).? Technical: Ability to read mechanical drawings and use basic measuring instruments.? Working knowledge of CNC controls (such as FANUC, Siemens, or similar) and basic offset adjustments.? Understanding of cutting tools, inserts, and basic machining parameters (feed, speed, depth of cut).?
