Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:-

1. Machine Operation:

Operate CNC stone cutting, carving, or engraving machines (for marble, granite, or sandstone). Load and fix stone blocks safely on the machine bed.

2. Setup & Programming:

Set tools, fixtures, and machine settings as per job requirements. Work with design files (like DXF or STL) and check that tool paths are correct.

3. Production & Quality Control:

Watch the machining process to ensure accuracy, smooth finish, and good detailing. Measure finished pieces with scales, calipers, or templates to check size and quality. Make sure products match the design and client's requirements.

4. Maintenance & Safety:

Clean and do basic maintenance of CNC machines regularly. Use tools and materials properly to prevent damage. Follow all safety rules and wear PPE during work.

5. Coordination & Reporting:

Work closely with design and production teams for smooth operations. Record daily production and report any problems or breakdowns. Share ideas to improve quality and efficiency.

Skill Requirements:-

1. Technical Skills:

Experience operating CNC stone cutting or engraving machines. Knowledge of CNC control systems (like Fanuc, Siemens, or Mach3). Ability to read and understand CAD/CAM drawings. Basic knowledge of stone materials, tools, cutting speeds, and feeds. Understanding of G-code or M-code is an added advantage.

2. Soft Skills:

Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork. Problem-solving and mechanical skills. Focus on safety and quality.

3. Educational Qualification :

ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or a related technical field. 1-3 years of experience in CNC operation (preferably in the stone or marble industry.
