Job Title: CNC Machine Operator (Job Work)

Location: GIDC POR , Vadodara, Gujarat (On-site)

Position Overview:

The CNC Operator (Job Work) will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components as per engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves setup, programming understanding, tool change, inspection, and ensuring that all machined parts meet quality and dimensional standards. The candidate should have experience in CNC operation within an industrial or job work setup, preferably on Siemens or Fanuc controllers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation

Operate CNC turning, milling, or VMC machines as per job requirements. Load raw materials and set up workpieces on the machine accurately. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions. Understand CNC programs (Siemens/Fanuc controller) and make minor edits if required. Ensure smooth and continuous operation of machines during production.
2. Setup & Calibration

Perform machine setup, tool offset, and fixture alignment. Verify tool wear and replace tools when necessary. Adjust cutting parameters to optimize machine performance and product quality. Calibrate measuring instruments and ensure proper alignment before production runs.
3. Quality Inspection

Inspect components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges. Check dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish as per drawing requirements. Identify defects and report non-conformities to the supervisor or QC team. Maintain documentation of inspection results and production logs.
4. Maintenance & Safety

Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance of the CNC machine. Report any mechanical or technical issues to maintenance or production heads. Follow safety procedures and use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times. Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization in the machining area.
5. Coordination & Documentation

Coordinate with production engineers and supervisors regarding job priorities. Maintain accurate daily production reports, machine logs, and tool records. Support continuous improvement activities for productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
Required Skills and Competencies:

Hands-on experience in CNC Turning / Milling / VMC operations. Knowledge of

Siemens / Fanuc controllers

(ability to read and understand G & M codes preferred). Proficiency in using precision measuring tools. Good understanding of machining processes, cutting parameters, and material behavior. Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy. Ability to work independently and follow production targets.
