to operate and maintain conventional or CNC lathe machines for precision machining of
rings and related components
used in oil and gas applications. The candidate should ensure quality output, maintain safety standards, and achieve production targets as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate
conventional or CNC lathe machines
to machine metal rings as per engineering drawings.
Read and interpret
technical drawings, process sheets, and job instructions
.
Select and set up
tools, fixtures, and materials
appropriately.
Perform
turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, and finishing operations
.
Inspect components using
micrometers, vernier calipers, and bore gauges
.
Ensure machining within
tolerances and surface finish standards
.
Maintain machine condition --
cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance
.
Follow
batch/heat number tracking
for each ring manufactured.
Record
daily production reports
and update project/job status.
Adhere to
safety, 5S, and housekeeping
standards.
Report
machine or quality issues
to the supervisor immediately.
Qualification & Experience:
ITI / Diploma
in Turner, Machinist, or Mechanical Trade.
Experience:
1-3 years (Freshers with ITI background can also apply).
Prior experience in
rings, studs, or precision machining
preferred.
Proficient in
reading engineering drawings
and using measuring tools.
Skills Required:
Good understanding of
lathe machine operation (manual/CNC)

Knowledge of
steel grades and machining for oil & gas components
