Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operating the CNC Router:

This involves loading materials, setting up the machine with the correct tools and settings, and running the cutting programs.

Reading Blueprints:

Understanding and interpreting technical drawings to determine the required cuts and dimensions.

Machine Setup:

Ensuring the machine is properly configured for each job, including tool selection, clamping, and alignment.

Material Handling:

Safely loading and unloading materials, including wood, metal, plastic, and other materials.

Quality Control:

Inspecting finished parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet the required specifications.

Maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance on the CNC router, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.

Troubleshooting:

Identifying and resolving minor technical issues with the machine or cutting process.

Safety:

Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures when operating the CNC router.

Documentation:

Keeping records of machine operation, material usage, and any issues encountered.

Training:

May be involved in training new operators or apprentices on the operation of the CNC router.
Skills and Knowledge:

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

CNC Machine Operation:

Knowledge of CNC machine functions, software, and programming.

Material Handling:

Understanding of different materials and their properties.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and resolve technical issues.

Safety Awareness:

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Mechanical Aptitude:

Understanding of basic mechanical principles.

Precision and Accuracy:

Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
