Job Description

A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Engineer's role involves designing, programming, and operating automated machine tools that manufacture parts with precision. This includes interpreting blueprints, creating CNC programs, setting up and operating machines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality control. They are responsible for the efficient and accurate production of components using CNC technology. Key Responsibilities of a CNC Engineer:

Programming:

Creating and optimizing CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to control machine movements and operations.

Machine Setup and Operation:

Setting up CNC machines, including tooling, fixtures, and workholding, and operating them to manufacture parts according to specifications.

Troubleshooting:

Identifying and resolving issues related to machine malfunctions, programming errors, or material defects.

Quality Control:

Ensuring that manufactured parts meet the required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.

Maintenance and Optimization:

Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines and suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Collaboration:

Working with design engineers, production managers, and other team members to optimize manufacturing processes and meet production goals.
