Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form
mild steel, stainless steel, and other heavy-gauge metals

Interpret
detailed fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders
to determine correct bend sequences, tooling, and angles.
Select and install appropriate
punches and dies
for each job.
Adjust machine settings, back gauges, and stroke length for precise bends.
Perform
first-piece and in-process inspections
using calipers, angle finders, and tape measures to verify dimensions and angles.
Ensure parts meet
tolerance, quality, and safety standards
.
Work with production supervisors and welders to optimize workflow and part fit-up.
Maintain proper documentation of completed jobs, materials used, and machine settings.
Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area
clean, safe, and organized
.
Follow all
safety protocols
, especially when handling large or heavy steel sheets.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in metal fabrication is a plus.
Minimum
2 years of experience
operating CNC press brakes in a steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment.
