Position Summary

The CMP Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining Continuous Molding/Blow Molding machines used in plastic bottle production. The role ensures smooth machine performance, consistent product quality, safe working practices, and timely completion of production targets.

Key Responsibilities1. Machine Operation

Start, operate, and stop CMP/Blow Molding machines as per production schedule. Adjust machine parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, timings) for optimal performance. Monitor machine performance and ensure continuous production flow. Load raw materials (resin, color masterbatch) as required.

2. Machine Setup & Changeover

Install molds, calibrate settings, and assist in mold changeovers. Perform pre-production checks to ensure machine readiness. Ensure tooling, molds, and components are clean and correctly fitted.

3. Quality Control

Inspect bottles for defects (shape, thickness, weight, clarity, leakage). Perform in-process quality checks and maintain required measurement records. Segregate defective products and report quality deviations immediately. Ensure production meets required specifications and standards.

4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, tightening, and basic preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot common problems like parison issues, wall thickness variations, air leakage, hydraulic/pneumatic faults. Inform maintenance team for major breakdowns or repairs. Maintain machine cleanliness and ensure safe working condition.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Record shift production data (output, downtime, material usage). Report machine breakdowns, quality issues, and production deviations. Ensure proper handover to next shift operator.

6. Safety & Compliance

Follow all plant safety rules, PPE requirements, and operational SOPs. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Ensure adherence to company quality and safety standards (ISO, GMP, etc.).

Skills & Competencies Required

Strong understanding of blow molding / CMP machines. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of mold settings, temperatures, pressure controls. Ability to read and follow SOPs and production instructions. Good teamwork, communication, and attention to detail. Ability to work in shifts and under production pressure.

Education & Experience

Qualification:

10th / 12th / ITI (Fitter, Plastic Processing, Mechanical preferred).

Experience:

1-5 years operating Blow Molding / CMP machines in bottle production (HDPE/PP/PET).

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift material bags (up to plant safety limits). Good eyesight and manual dexterity.
