Key Responsibilities

Determine part inspection requirements from internal or customer drawings.

Create or edit programs for the coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Utilize the programs to complete dimensional inspection using the coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Conduct Arm inspection by programming and completing the dimensional inspection of final assembly and component parts. Analyze and troubleshoot Romer Arm setups and inspection paths. Understand and utilize GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) to complete detailed part inspection. Insure the part inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision level. Complete PPAP and AS 9102 dimensional reports. Conduct finished product inspections with hand gauges and measurement systems. Inspect first piece of work order parts for correctness. Perform inspections on incoming goods as required. Log and maintain inspection data as needed for evaluating and reporting. Maintain calibration system and conduct calibrations as needed.

Work Experience

Strong ability to develop inspection programs, using PCDMIS 2023r2 software systems or equivalent. 5-8 years minimum experience with CMM programming and operation. Strong proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Strong proficiency interpreting GD&T standards highly desired. Able to use quality inspection hand tools. Strong knowledge of surface plate inspection techniques, measuring tools, and gages. * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
