About the team : The objective of Quality Function at Ninjacart is to drive quality and system compliances across its facilities and value chain with an aim to ensure business continuity, profitability through risk mitigation, driving efficiency and minimizing losses. In addition, the Quality & Food Safety function also leads the way in identifying possible risks, their pro-active solutions and ensuring its effective implementation through defined processes and systems.
What are we looking for? The Cluster Quality Lead ensures incoming material for Ninjacart from a set of collection centers are as per defined specifications and drives the rigor with the first layer of business effectively and on a consistent basis to deliver material at FCs with minimal rejection levels.
What will you do? | Responsibilities

• Drive deployment of Quality plan and specification adherence across cluster of CCs to ensure Ninjacart accepts best-in-class quality material matching relevant price point as per customer requirements to drive business profitability
• Drive capability across collection center facilities within his cluster w.r.t. material handling, grading and acceptance/rejection processes
• Building people capability at CCs through trainings and skill development w.r.t. incoming inspection and grading process
• Build farmer’s capability improvement plan and ensure its execution with CC executives
• Drive capability for DPs & grading and inspection team to ensure they are fit for the job all the time and make sure NC processes and systems are not compromised at any time
• Conduct routine reviews and trend analysis within cluster to find improvement opportunities for specific farmers, CC or SKUs and monitor continuous and ongoing improvement journeys
• Ensure all CCs within the cluster are compliant with basic hygiene, housekeeping and cleaning practices as per FSSAI requirements and drive accountability across the team for this through awareness and training programs on routine basis
• Work in close collaboration with CC Executive, CC Operations & Sourcing team to ensure approved specs are adhered and deviations to specs are analyzed and overall return due to material quality is trending low in a planned way to improve business profitability

• Bachelor or equivalent degree in Agriculture, F&V Technology, post-harvest technology, Food Science & Technology, or related field
• Candidates should have around 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role in related industry or work area/ profile
• Basic knowledge of quality aspects related to agri-produce, fruits & Vegetable products/industry with basic understanding on ISO & HACCP requirements.
• Awareness of local dynamics, language and people/culture is required
• Role will require travel on daily basis to different CCs across cluster
