Position: Cluster Link Worker (Two Posts)
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum
10+2 qualification
or higher.
At least
1 year of relevant experience
in HIV/Health/Livelihood promotion, adult literacy, or microfinance programmes.
Preference for
existing Link Workers
meeting eligibility criteria.
Must be a
resident of Tarn Taran district
.
Should be willing to
travel extensively
; vehicle ownership is desirable.
Salary:
6,050 per month + 2,400 TA (as per NACO Guidelines).
Cluster Link Worker (Two Posts)
The Cluster Link Worker will be the
primary field functionary
of the Link Worker Scheme, working directly with vulnerable communities, high-risk groups, and youth in villages/wards of Tarn Taran district.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Outreach & Mobilization
o Conduct regular home visits, group meetings, and community-level interactions to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS, STI prevention, safe sexual behavior, and available health services.
o Identify and maintain contact with HRGs (such as Migrants, FSWs, MSM, IDUs) and vulnerable youth in assigned clusters.
o Motivate HRGs and vulnerable groups to go for regular counseling, testing, and treatment.
Health Services & Referrals
o Facilitate access of HRGs to ICTC, STI Clinics, ART Centers, and government hospitals.
o Provide information and distribute condoms, IEC material, and behavior change communication (BCC) messages.
o Support HRGs and PLHIV to reduce stigma and discrimination in families and communities.
Community Network Building
o Work with Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, SHGs, and youth groups for community participation in HIV prevention.
o Develop peer educators or community volunteers within villages for sustainability.
Record Keeping & Reporting
o Maintain registers of outreach activities, beneficiaries reached, referrals made, and condoms distributed.
o Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Zonal Supervisor.
Travel & Field Work
o Travel extensively within the assigned villages.
o Be available for community mobilization events, health camps, and awareness drives.
