Role Summary

The Cluster Head - Sales is a senior leadership position responsible for maximizing sales revenue, client acquisition, and overall business volume . This role involves setting aggressive sales targets, providing strategic direction to sales teams, fostering key client relationships, and ensuring the sales process is efficient, compliant, and customer-centric.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy and Revenue Maximization



Target Ownership:

Hold direct accountability for achieving Cluster-level revenue targets (P&L contribution), AUM growth, and new client acquisition goals across all key product segments (Equity, Derivatives, Commodities, Mutual Funds, PMS, etc.).

Sales Planning:

Develop and execute comprehensive annual and quarterly sales strategies, localized marketing initiatives, and aggressive sales calendars for the cluster.

Performance Analysis:

Conduct detailed analysis of sales performance metrics, identifying high-growth opportunities, underperforming areas, and implementing corrective action plans immediately.

Product Penetration:

Drive cross-selling and up-selling initiatives to increase product penetration per client and enhance the overall wallet share of the firm.

2. Sales Leadership and Team Management



Leadership & Coaching:

Hire ,Lead, motivate, and mentor Managers and the broader sales team to ensure consistent application of best-practice sales techniques and high-quality service delivery.

Training & Development:

Oversee the training needs for the sales staff, ensuring deep product knowledge, compliance awareness, and strong soft skills for effective client engagement.

Manpower & Structure:

Manage optimal staffing levels and organizational structure within the cluster, recruiting top sales talent and managing retention and attrition strategically.

Reviews:

Institute a robust mechanism for daily/weekly/monthly sales reviews, setting monthly targets & achieving the same , pipeline management, and performance appraisal across the cluster.

3. Business Development and Relationship Management



Client Engagement:

Personally cultivate and manage relationships with key HNI, Ultra HNI, and institutional clients within the cluster to secure large mandates and referral business.

Market Presence:

Enhance PhillipCapital's visibility and brand reputation in the local market through strategic networking, participation in local industry events, and thought leadership.

Channel Management:

Identify and leverage local business partners, Authorized Persons (APs), and referral sources to expand the sales footprint and distribution network.

4. Compliance and Operational Efficiency



Sales Compliance:

Ensure that all sales practices, client interactions, and advisory services strictly adhere to SEBI regulations, internal compliance policies, and ethical standards.

Operational Liaison:

Collaborate closely with Operations and Compliance teams to streamline the sales process, reduce turnaround times, and ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Commerce is mandatory. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in Sales and Distribution within the Financial Services sector (Broking, Wealth Management, or Banking), with at least 3 to 5 years years specifically managing a multi-unit/cluster sales team and P&L.

Domain Knowledge:

Expertise in financial products, investment advisory services, capital markets operations, and the local regulatory framework.
