Centralized Legal & Regulatory Team , in short called as CLRT is a centralized unit that manages highly critical and sensitive notices, complaints, queries from various regulatory bodies, statutory authorities, Law Enforcement Agencies & courts across GCG and ICG business of Citibank.

Roles & Responsibilities: Business/ Department Objectives:
  • To effectively manage & respond to notices received from various regulatory bodies in India , handle Legal cases , Notices & summons in co-ordination with Central Legal , Tax , business teams and empanelled counsels the Regulatory Channel /Legal Channel to mitigate franchise risk and customers issues
Core Responsibilities:
  • To be a one point contact for effectively handling & responding to regulatory/Legal notices received from across Pan India against GCG & ICG vertical by coordinating with branches across India and Central Legal / Compliance & tax team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • To ensure all Regulatory notices received are appropriately handled and reverted within the stipulated timeline by effectively coordinating with various departments.
  • To ensure sensitive regulatory notices are highlighted real-time to senior management.
  • To circulate MIS to the senior management to update them of the notices received and status of the same.
  • To ensure zero defect in handling of attachment / revocation notices issued by Regulatory bodies and courts in terms timely compliance.
  • Handle and respond to Regulatory notices received from various regulators
  • To highlight process improvement based on root cause analysis & trend of notices received.
  • To speak to regulatory officers to update /seek clarity on notices received whenever need arises.

Qualifications:
  • Any graduation degree
  • Previous relevant experience preferred (4 years and above)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent co-ordination skills & strong aptitude for problem solving & analysis
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to interact with regulatory officers confidently
  • Proactive approach in identifying challenges / issues and highlighting the same to seniors.
  • Good computer skills in MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Power Point etc
  • Sound judgment and strong decision making skills with an eye for detail.
