The key accountabilities for this role are, but not limited to;

• Please note that this is a purely technical, hand-on implementation and operational role in a 24x7 global operational environment.
• 2+ years of hands-on IaaS and PaaS operational experience on Microsoft Azure.
• Set up from scratch the non-production (staging, QA and development) and production environments on Azure.
• Ability to articulate the Azure native applications and integrate the DevOps methodology to create and operate an integrated Azure environment.
• Understand the operational needs of enterprise applications in an Azure native environment.
• Hands-on experience of migrations, CI/CD deployment pipelines and DevOps integration on Azure.
• Ability to create use cases and test for nonfunctional requirements in the Azure test environment. Provide operational leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques including mass application movements into the Azure enterprise environments.
• Initiate cloud adoption for on-premise applications and Azure native applications.
• Design and provide architectural blueprints with customers for multiple Cloud environments.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology
• Relevant Industry certifications on Microsoft Azure
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in cloud operations

Knowledge

• Passionate, persuasive, articulate Cloud professional capable of quickly establishing interest and credibility in how to design, deploy and operate cloud-based Architectures. Strong written, verbal and chalk board skills
• Experience in working in Agile or PMI methodology managed projects is valued.
• Experience in enterprise cloud native applications, migrations, DevOps setup and data center infrastructures.
• Ability to work with team members from around the globe / experience working with off-shore models.

Skills (including technology)

• Azure based Cloud Architecture and migration skills and experience.
• Strong understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, Jenkins, Kafka, Hadoop, HDInsight, Databricks, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Runbook automation on Azure)
• 4+ years' experience in IT Infrastructure operations, with focus on Azure cloud native services.
• Specifically ARM templates, App services, App service environments, containerized web services, IaaS server, Apache Tomcat. Azure App service.
• 4+ years' experience with MS Server Operating Systems.
• 4+ years' experience with Linux / Unix based Operating Systems.
• 4+ years' experience with scripting languages such as Ruby, Chef, PowerShell, JavaScript, etc.
• Experience in leading a team applying all elements of Technical Consulting
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Understands and can articulate the technical merits and value of Cloud computing
