Lead End-to-End cloud migration programs--covering discovery, assessment, architecture, and execution--for enterprise customers. Own the technical migration strategy and target-state architecture (landing zones, networking, identity, security, data, and app platforms) and guide cross-functional teams through pilots, migration waves, cutover, and handover. Serve as the customer-facing technical authority ensuring solutions meet cost, performance, reliability, security, and compliance objectives while minimizing disruption during transition.
2. Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
The Migration Cloud Architect drives high-priority customer migration initiatives in close collaboration with customer stakeholders, from discovery to cutover and stabilization. o This is a technical, customer-facing role accountable for the end-to-end migration experience (strategy, assessment, landing zone, connectivity, identity, security, data/app migration, DR/HA).
Collaborate with Solution/Domain Architects (Network, Security, Data, Apps, SAP/Oracle) to align standards, reuse patterns/accelerators, and validate target architectures. o Deliver migration artefacts: migration strategy & wave plan, target-state architecture, HLD/LLD, non-functional requirements, interface specs, runbooks (pilot ? waves ? cutover/rollback), and handover/KTs. o Work mix: ~75% architecture/leadership (design, governance, reviews) and 25% hands-on deployment/support during pilots, testing, and cutovers.
Own the Azure/OCI technical engagement: lead architecture design sessions, PoCs/pilots, tool selection and guidance (e.g., Azure Migrate/ASR/DMS; OCI DB Migration/Goldengate/ZDM; AVS/OCVS/HCX), and oversee wave execution. o Bring proven customer-facing experience, leading deep design discussions with senior execs/app owners to choose migration patterns (rehost/replatform/refactor), define RTO/RPO, security/compliance, and make go/no-go decisions.
Develop strategic & operational documents (TCO/ROI, RAID/risk logs, governance/guardrails, cost optimization plans) and ensure observability, performance, and resiliency post-cutover.

1. Educational Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Accreditations e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, ITIL foundation
2. Skills & Experience:
8+ years across infrastructure/application/database domains; 3-5+ years leading cloud migrations at scale.
Deep expertise in Azure and/or OCI architecture: landing zones, hub-and-spoke networking, identity, security, governance.
Hands-on with migration tooling: Azure Migrate, ASR, Azure Database Migration Service/SQL MI; OCI DB/block volume migration, Goldengate, Data Guard/ZDM; AVS/HCX and/or OCVS for VMware migrations.
Networking fundamentals and design: IP addressing, routing/BGP, ExpressRoute/Fast Connect, VPN/SD?WAN, DNS, private endpoints.
Security & compliance: IAM (Entra ID/OCI Identity), RBAC/policies, Key Vault/OCI Vault, encryption, secrets, policy/guardrails, Defender/Cloud Guard; evidence for audits (e.g., ISO 27001; local frameworks such as Qatar NDCP v3.0/NIA).
Reliability engineering: HA/DR patterns, backup/restore, performance testing, observability (Azure Monitor/Log Analytics; OCI Logging/Monitoring/Alarms).
Infrastructure as Code & automation: Terraform, PowerShell/Bash, YAML pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions); configuration management (e.g., Ansible).
Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to produce HLD/LLD, runbooks, and executive-level presentations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience; excellent English communication.
