Job Title: Cloud Application Architect
Job Overview: The Cloud Application Architect is a key role responsible for leading the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions. This position involves working with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, evaluate technologies, and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cloud architecture that aligns with the company's business objectives and technology strategy.
• Lead the assessment of business requirements and translate them into technical cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to create a cohesive cloud environment.
• Provide expertise on cloud services, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, to optimize performance and cost.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company security policies.
• Develop and document cloud architecture plans, including diagrams and roadmaps.
• Mentor and guide teams on cloud adoption, best practices, and technologies.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and make recommendations for enhancements and improvements.
• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of cloud infrastructure issues.
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to design and implement robust security frameworks.
• Assist with the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans in the cloud.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining detailed and comprehensive documentation and diagrams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or software development, with at least 2 years in a cloud architecture role.
• Professional cloud certification(s) in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure as well as cloud deployment models.
• Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, and an understanding of when to use each.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation of cloud deployments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex cloud concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration strategies.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and experience ensuring cloud services adhere to these regulations.
