The Role:

This position is within the webMethods.io iPaaS platform Cloud Engineering Operations global team at Software AG. Candidates will work closely with other Product Security, RnD Leaders, Information Security, IT Security, Site Reliability Engineering and Cloud Operations

Responsibilities:

• Work with a cross-functional team to secure webMethods.io iPaaS platform from threats and vulnerabilities
• Establish effective security protocols for webMethods.io iPaaS platform, network, and infrastructure to take charge of Cloud Security
• Manage and use the security tools provided by different cloud vendors/teams
• Deliver security audits that reveal hidden flaws in webMethods.io iPaaS platform security setup and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks
• Write policy, procedure, standards, guideline, and other technical documentation and about the proper implementation of sound security program elements
• Able to review logs and other metrics for signs of cyber threats or attacks and escalate to senior engineers
• Able to test complicated and detailed aspects of a security posture or configuration, identify deficiencies, and recommend remediation actions
• Demonstrable knowledge of network concepts, IP addressing / sub-netting, the OSI model, firewalls, router, and switches
• A solid understanding of best practices and techniques in attacking or defending information systems
• Strong analytical, diagnostics and troubleshooting skills - ability to solve complex problems at scale
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and being a self-starter

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; or certification in relevant programs (CISSP, CSSLP, OSCP, GPEN, GIAC, Security+, or others); or equivalent work experience
• Good knowledge about SIEM solutions
• Good knowledge of networking, security, DNS, Unix/Linux operations and troubleshooting
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in modern, web-scale distributed systems
• Deep technical knowledge in Cloud Infrastructure, Operations, Support, Networking, Systems
• Strong knowledge of Linux, UNIX, Windows System vulnerabilities and secure configuration settings
• Strong knowledge of threats, threat models and vulnerabilities associated with application and network security
• Good knowledge of networking, security, DNS, Unix/Linux operations and troubleshooting
• Solid understanding of container security
• Expert knowledge of the AWS/AZURE ecosystem and security shared responsibility model
• Befriending Zero Trust
