Description
As a Cloud Platform Engineer at Apple, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and operation of our next-generation cloud platform. You will work alongside a team of dedicated engineers to build a highly scalable, reliable, and secure platform offerings that empower Apple's product teams to deliver extraordinary experiences. You will be responsible for driving innovation, adopting new technologies, and ensuring the platform meets the evolving needs of Apple's business.
Responsibilities

• Architect, Design and implement robust cloud native solutions
• Have hands-on understanding of containerization and orchestration concepts for designing and building scalable and resilient modern event and micro-services based systems
• Have good understanding security concepts that are necessary for modern DevSecOps practices
• Understand and build features for a seamless & stable Internal Developer Portal that empowers self-service experiences for builder community with clear, concise documentation
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement secure and robust application architectures for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Understands and uses monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to continuously assess and improve system reliability, and performance
• Have passion to drive automation to streamline manual processes and enhance productivity across the organization.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and standards in DevOps and cloud computing
• Develop junior team member capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching

Minimum Qualifications

• 8 - 14 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of working with public cloud providers such as AWS or GCP
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant major.
• Understanding of networking concepts on Cloud, like VPCs/Subnets, Firewalls and LoadBalancers.
• Experience in CI/CD and configuration Management systems.
• Knowledge of working with OS environments and good programming skills in Python, Go or Java.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent
• Analytical & problem solving skills, ability to communicate ideas clearly
• Superb communication and collaboration abilities, with a solid focus on teamwork.
• Experience with emerging technologies such as Generative AI and Machine Learning in a cloud platform context.
• Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect , AWS DevOps Professional, GCP Professional Architect is a plus.
