Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Grafana Administrator to manage and enhance our observability infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Alloy, Private Data Source Connect (PDC), Loki, and Tempo to ensure robust monitoring, logging, and tracing across our systems. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, visualization, logging, and tracing. o Administer and maintain Grafana dashboards, user access, data sources, and plugins. o Manage and optimize Prometheus for metrics collection, querying, and alerting. o Configure and maintain Alloy pipelines for telemetry ingestion and transformation. o Integrate and support Private Data Source Connect (PDC) for secure and scalable data ingestion from internal systems. o Administer Loki for centralized log aggregation, indexing, and querying. o Manage Tempo for distributed tracing and performance analysis across services. o Develop and maintain custom dashboards and visualizations tailored to operational and business needs. o Implement alerting and notification strategies using Grafana and Prometheus. o Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the observability stack. o Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to onboard new services and improve observability coverage. o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, visualization, logging, and tracing. Required Skills & Qualifications: o Proven experience as a Grafana Administrator or similar role. o Strong knowledge of Prometheus, PromQL, and exporters. o Experience with Alloy (formerly OpenTelemetry Collector or similar). o Familiarity with Private Data Source Connect (PDC) and its integration with observability tools. o Hands-on experience with Loki for log management and Tempo for distributed tracing. o Proficiency in Grafana Query Language (GQL) and dashboard templating. o Understanding of telemetry data formats: metrics, logs, traces. o Experience with Linux systems and scripting (Bash, Python). o Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). o Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. o Experience with cloud platorms (Azure, AWS, GCP). o Familiarity with CICD and DevOps.
