Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer
Qualifications: Experience in Microsoft technologies in C#, .Net with scripting skills in Python, JS, PowerShell. Good understanding of CI/CD and Cloud DevOps

Location: Hyderabad, India \xe2\x80\x93 Hybrid (~60% office, ~40% remote)

About the Role

The global Cloud DevOps team is responsible for the operation of all AVEVA Cloud Solutions with the goal of achieving and maintaining a monthly service availability SLA and we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team.

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer in AVEVA\xe2\x80\x99s Research & Development (R&D) function, you will utilize your experience to continually improve and develop AVEVA\xe2\x80\x99s Cloud solutions, including release and deployment processes and pipelines, enhancing, and supporting our monitoring capabilities, and diagnosing and resolving cloud infrastructure incidents to optimize uptime and allow us to scale through repeatable and standardized work practices.

We are looking for technically strong, responsible and a passionate hands-on person for our Azure or AWS Cloud Platform who will work closely with our development and portfolio colleagues, to bring new solutions to the Cloud following a standard framework to ensure they are operationally secure, stable, and scalable.

The global, 24x7 nature of the team means there may be a requirement for occasional work outside of the standard day and to be on call as part of a shared team rota.

In this role, you will:

Collaborate with R&D Development teams to understand the solution architecture, help architect, configure, monitor, and support API services to improve operational stability, security, cost management and reporting requirements for our cloud solutions

Provide timely and effective response to incidents to minimize the impact on our customers and keep colleagues updated as required

Continually develop and improve DevOps processes, adding value through optimization, automation, and effective reporting

Automate build, Test and Deployment processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention

Oversee relevant Cloud deployments to ensure successful implementation, track and report progress, resolve or escalate release issues

Proactively manage cloud environments to minimize service impacting issues, including infrastructure as code, SSL certificates, storage, health status, backup status etc.

Review and process application and web account access requests and tasks

Ensure new services meet required operational readiness standards before being accepted into Cloud DevOps operations control

Ensure on-going compliance to security practices and policies

Provide subject matter expertise to business stakeholders as required

Maintain clear and accurate DevOps operational documentation

Stay current on security industry trends, tools and best practices.

Measure of success

Team Level: DevOps operational monitoring and support activities enable SLA metrics to be met or surpassed.

Proactive contribution and continual review and improvement across all areas using DevOps principles of automation, optimization and lean processes led to efficiencies and cost savings. Comprehensive and accurate documentation maintained covering day to day related processes to enable services to be covered from any region 24x7x365

Directly delivering or overseeing cloud deployments as planned

Successful handover of new services into Cloud DevOps operational support.

Great skills to have:

The following list applies to Azure and/or AWS Platforms.

Bachelor/master\xe2\x80\x99s in computer science or a related technical field with 4+ years of experience in providing operational support/development of cloud solutions / platforms

Knowledge and experience of software development and deployment methodologies and principles

Hands-on in Azure administration, Azure APIs and tools or equivalent AWS experience.

Strong experience in Microsoft Technologies: C#, .NET, .NET Core, Web API, REST

Good knowledge on OOPS, Design Patterns, Microservices and Serverless Architecture

Experience in scripting languages: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, NodeJS

Experience on IaaS and PaaS services

Experience in IaC tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation and Bicep

Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, able to convey information clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences

Certifications in Azure and/or AWS

Preferred skills and experience

Hands-on experience working within an Information Security accredited framework e.g. ISO27001, 27017/18.

Experience working in Agile software development such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
