R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It\xe2\x80\x99s the development engine for our Digital Services such as , and .

We are looking for a Cloud Operations Manager to help us to continue building & managing our cloud platform in AWS to support our digital products. Our landscape is quite interesting and large scale, punctuated with key technology areas such as IoT, machine learning, big data, artificial intelligence etc., to name a few. We will continue to expand our portfolio in AWS at scale. This role provides an excellent opportunity to be part of this amazing journey of building the new digital platform in AWS cloud, while working on interesting challenges with opportunities to continuously learn.

Role Description

  • As a Cloud operations Manager you will be the technical lead and own end to end Operations Management for a portfolio of Digital Products in Building Optimization and Insights
  • AWS Infrastructure Management
  • Manage group of applications using AWS cloud architecture ensuring high availability, security, and performance
  • Manage deployment, scaling, and maintenance of AWS services and resources
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, analyze trends, and proactively address potential issues to maintain optimal system health
  • Automation and DevOps
  • Implementation of automation tools and processes to streamline provisioning, deployment, and monitoring tasks
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Cost Management
  • Optimize cloud resources to control costs while maintaining performance and scalability
  • Implement cost monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track and manage cloud-related expenses
  • Performance and Security
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and monitor security measures and compliance controls
  • onduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks
  • Vendor Management
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with cloud service providers, ensuring contractual obligations are met and services are optimized
  • Documentation and Training
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and procedures
  • Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on cloud-related technologies and best practices
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration
  • Lead a team of cloud engineers providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, security, and DevOps, to align cloud strategies with business goals
Education & Experience
  • University degree in Information technology, engineering or equivalent
  • Professional experience between 8-10 years with minimum 3 years of experience of leading Support/Operations team working on AWS Cloud, infrastructure management, or similar role
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Desired skills
  • Mandatory
  • Hands-on experience on Infrastructure-as-code toolchain like AWS Cloud Formation/CDK/Terraform or similar
  • Working Knowledge on REST and WebSocket APIs, AWS API Gateway Service
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and reporting of cloud Platform availability, and performance. In depth knowledge on Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, DevOps Guru
  • Operational knowledge on AWS key Services like Trusted Advisor, AWS GuardDuty, Amazon Inspector, IAM, Control Tower, Certificate Manager
  • Nice to have
  • AWS Services - Lambda, Cognito, ECS, API Gateway, Dynamo DB, CloudFormation
  • DevOps and agile ways of working with experience on ticketing tool JIRA (preferred), BMC Remedy, ServiceNow etc.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python/Shell
  • AWS Sys Ops Admin certification
