Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud-Native Engineer to support and maintain cloud-based applications while actively contributing to an upcoming architecture migration. This role is hands-on and support-focused, requiring strong experience across current PHP-based systems and a future Node.js & Azure PaaS/IaaS environment.

The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, performance, and smooth transition during the modernization phase.

Key Responsibilities

Provide application and cloud infrastructure support during US EST hours Maintain and troubleshoot PHP-based cloud applications Support Linux-based virtual machines and cloud services Work with Azure SQL, Redis, Azure Storage, and Azure Service Bus Handle real-time communication features using PHP Sockets & WebRTC Assist in cloud-native migration from PHP to Node.js & Azure PaaS services Support and monitor Azure Functions and App Services Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth transition to the future-state architecture Perform root cause analysis and production issue resolution

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience in

cloud-based application development/support

Strong hands-on experience with

PHP

Experience working in

Linux environments

Solid understanding of

Azure cloud services

, including: Azure SQL Azure Storage Azure Service Bus Azure Functions Experience with

Redis

Knowledge of

PHP Sockets and WebRTC

Experience supporting production systems in a

support-focused role

Comfortable working in

night shifts aligned with US EST

Good to Have / Future Stack Exposure

Experience or hands-on exposure to

Node.js

Knowledge of

Azure IaaS & PaaS services

Experience with

Azure App Services

Familiarity with

Azure Communication Services & Azure Web PubSub

Experience participating in

cloud migration or modernization projects
