: As a Splunk Specialist, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Splunk solutions within our organization. You will work closely with various teams to ensure our systems and applications are monitored effectively, and any performance issues are promptly addressed. Key Responsibilities: o Splunk Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Splunk environments, including agents, servers, and dashboards. o Performance Monitoring: Monitor/ Ingest logs from applications, infrastructure, and services using Splunk to ensure optimal performance and availability. o Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot performance issues, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for resolution. o Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business needs. o Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve monitoring configurations and strategies to enhance performance and reduce downtime. o Reporting: Generate and distribute performance reports, highlighting key metrics and insights to stakeholders. o Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members and end-users on Splunk functionalities and best practices. o Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Splunk configurations, processes, and procedures. Qualifications: o Education: o Experience: o Proven hands-on experience with Splunk administration and performance monitoring. o Strong understanding of application performance management (APM) concepts and best practices. o Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. o Technical Skills: o Proficiency in Splunk setup, configuration, and optimization. o Splunk Deployment Server and Forwarder configuration knowledge must. o Familiarity with other monitoring tools and technologies like AppDynamics, New Relic is a plus. o Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, Ansible, Terraform) for automation. o Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. o Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. o Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
