Description:
CTG is seeking to fill a Cloud Migration Architect (AWS-Focused) position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 11 months
Duties:
Lead and build cloud migration architecture solutions for multi-cloud environments, with AWS as the primary platform and exposure to Azure, ICP, and other cloud providers.
Design and deliver hybrid cloud migration solutions spanning on-premises, off-premises, and dedicated cloud environments.
Lead teams in defining migration strategies, selecting migration tools, and determining network, application, database, and integration migration pathways.
Drive adoption of appropriate migration approaches including rehost, refactor, rearchitect, replatform, and containerization.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in migration methodologies; lead migration workshops and tailor methodologies to client environments and industry requirements.
Partner with Migration Project Managers by contributing to technical elements of WBS, effort estimation, risk identification, dependency mapping, and MVP definition.
Map client platforms and application deployment requirements to AWS services, ensuring optimal service selection, configuration, and architecture alignment.
Skills:
Programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Unix Shell scripting, Python scripting.
Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, JDBC, Hibernate, JMS (MQ), JUnit, OpenShift Cloud, AWS.
Web technologies: JavaScript, React.
Application servers and web servers: Apache Tomcat, HTTPD, NGINX.
IDEs and utilities: IntelliJ IDEA, SQL Developer, HashiCorp Vault, HashiCorp tools.
Databases: Oracle, DynamoDB.
Development and build tools: Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, GitLab.
Strong expertise in AWS services, architecture patterns, and cloud migration best practices.
Experience:
Proven experience leading large-scale cloud migration initiatives with a strong AWS focus.
Hands-on experience designing and delivering multi-cloud and hybrid cloud migration solutions.
Demonstrated leadership in guiding teams through complex migration strategies and execution.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $126,000 to $135,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
