We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in managing API platforms and monitoring solutions, specifically with Apigee X/Hybrid on cloud and on-premise environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the performance, security, and observability of API infrastructure in a scalable and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities
Provision and manage Apigee X and Apigee Hybrid environments across cloud and on-prem.
Design and deploy scalable API proxies integrated with diverse backend systems.
Implement security protocols: OAuth2.0, API Keys, JWT, mTLS, etc.
Configure API products, developer apps, and traffic policies like quota and spike arrest.
Monitor and log API traffic using Google Cloud Operations Suite, including Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
Troubleshoot issues related to performance, connectivity, and security in Apigee and integrated systems.
Provide advisory and implement threat protection mechanisms across APIs.
Integrate with GCP services like Cloud Armor, Cloud Logging, and other observability tools.
Work closely with DevOps and security teams to ensure high availability and compliance.
Support CI/CD integration for Apigee using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Terraform.
Key Skills & Qualifications
5-8 years of experience in cloud engineering and API platform management.
Strong hands-on experience with Apigee X/Hybrid setup and configuration.
Proficiency in API security protocols and best practices.
Experience with GCP monitoring/logging tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Good understanding of infrastructure as code and automation tools (Terraform preferred).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
