OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:


We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to support infrastructure program activities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in integrating Kubernetes cluster deployment within the infrastructure and managing the transfer of specific layers from data platform to infra. This role requires collaboration with various experts and effective stakeholder communication to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


TECHNICAL ANALYSIS AND IMPLEMENTATION:


Perform the analysis of the existing solution from data platforms and its interface customers.

Perform the analysis of alternative technologies if needed.

Conduct impact analysis on the product toolchain to integrate the deployment of each layer.

Validate the correct deployment of each layer once its deployment is automated.

Act as a representative of the program for internal and external stakeholders.

Communicate plans, progress, changes, and risks effectively to all stakeholders.

Facilitate collaboration and consensus among diverse teams ensuring the program's objectives are met.



LAYER INTEGRATION:


Manage the transfer and deployment of specific technical layers from between products, such as:

Container management solutions

Cluster orchestration tools

Storage solutions

Infrastructure monitoring systems

Artifact repositories

COLLABORATION AND COORDINATION:


Coordinate with current data platform customers to ensure impacts on their scope are taken into account.

Collaborate closely with software development teams, cybersecurity experts, network specialists, DevOps teams, data scientists, and product managers to ensure cohesive and effective implementation.

SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE:


Implement robust security practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to safeguard data and infrastructure.

TECHNICAL GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT:


Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.

Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for architectural design, quality assurance, and testing.

EDUCATION:


Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:


Languages: Powershell, Python, Ansible

Significant experience in container management platform (creation, deployment, orchestration)

Knowledge of Kubectl API, Helm Chart

Cybersecurity: Syslog, LDAP, 802.1x, a experience (3-5 years) in cybersecurity environment/development is a plus

Networks: good experience in Networks protocols and architectures

Environment: Kubernetes, Virtualization (Harvester) , GitLab CI/CD (Basics)

English: Fluent both written and spoken

Proficiency in Linux operating systems and administration.

Experience in identifying technical risks and defining development strategies.

Proven ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to teams.

Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Ability to drive decisions collaboratively, resolve conflicts, and ensure follow-through.

Proven experience in managing customer expectations and stakeholder communication.

Ability to represent the program effectively to diverse audiences.
