CTG is seeking to fill a Cloud Data Platform Managed Services Specialist opening for our premier client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 4 months
Description:
Hands-on administrative skills in installing, configuring and managing Data/BigData components on Cloud platforms which include administration skills in technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, spark, Snowflake, Informatica, Talend, DataStage, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Scylla, Splunk and NoSQL DBs. They are required to deliver data platform managed services leveraging their skills and expertise in hybrid cloud environments which includes performance tuning, cost optimization and understanding the scope of management for PaaS and SaaS services. Data services include installing and configuration of data products, services and operations delivered using the Data Platform Managed Services methodology. The operational services typically involve heavy interaction with the client, business partner, cloud providers in support of concluding the project to meet the customer requirements. They also provides support for data operations and have understanding of the Data service management and the ability to do hands on manual and automated configuration.
Required Skills:

• Experience extracting data from a variety of sources, and a desire to expand those skills (working knowledge in SQL and Spark is mandatory)
• Excellent Data Analysis skills. Must be comfortable with querying and analyzing large amount of data on Hadoop HDFS using Hive and Spark.
• Preferably, the candidate must have experience building applications using Google Cloud Platform related frameworks such as DataFlow/DataProc/PubSub.
• Excellent communication skills to understand and pass on requirements
• 6+ years of industry work experience

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $57 to $68 hourly. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
