Title: Cloud Data Engineer
Location: Remote, India
In this role you will be working very closely with Project Stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams. As part of your role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining cloud based solutions that service the data and technology needs of the organization. This role is a very engaging mix of hands-on technical work and opportunities to showcase leadership skills. You will need a blend of superb problem-solving and innovation skills to resolve a wide variety of technical challenges. You will be working with stakeholders and solution architects who thrive through innovation and who will ensure to provide ample room for innovation on every project you are involved in.
Your Role:
- Act as a lead to design, develop, implement, document, and maintain cloud-hosted data and analytics services in Azure using tools such as Terraform
- Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines, leveraging Azure DevOps or other similar tools
- Assist in design and develop solutions for migration of on-premise data stores to cloud-based technologies
- Implement and maintain data security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards and regulations
- Act as the hands-on technical expert to provide support for on-premise and cloud data infrastructure issues.
- Promote and drive technical agility by collaborating with development teams, other Genworth internal teams and vendor teams to ensure cloud infrastructure meets the growing needs of the organization
- Evaluate and recommend configurations; defines requirements, capacities, capabilities, etc. to meet user needs while adhering to technical standards
- Coordinate with downstream and upstream teams for smooth operations
- Develop skill in additional cloud-based technologies and use those skills to provide solutions to business needs
Your Qualifications:
- Overall, 5 to 7 years of experience in IT and data management, with 1 -3 years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles, with a focus on Azure cloud preferred
- Proficiency with database platforms, SQL development and database design
- Proficiency in using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code(IaC)
- Must have a solid understanding of Cloud data management, networking, security and other Azure services
- Proficient in automation and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of Agile and development methodologies and DevOps principles
- Certifications - HashiCorp Certified \xe2\x80\x93 Terraform Associate and Azure DevOps Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Expert are strongly desired
