This is a high-growth opportunity within a dynamic department. TheCloudApplication Engineeris primarily responsible for providing support of incidents, relevant changes, and maintenance in the domain of all infrastructure, applications, technologies, processes and information related to cloud technology. This role supports contacts from both external and internal user communities and requires demonstrable expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, ability to identify problems, causation, and determine and implement appropriate solutions across all cloud platforms. The Cloud Applications Engineer role reports to the Manager of Cloud Applications and provides technical support for cloud platforms and applications. Timings: 600am-230pm IST Job Responsibilities: Monitor an inbound work queue and prioritize requests based on urgency and severity Resolve inbound incidents and service requests with minimal escalation Monitor, optimize and ensure the scalability, availability, and performance of cloud-based software solutions Provide 2nd line application support of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Develop PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks Perform scripted software deployments and upgrades of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications and internally developed applications during scheduled maintenance windows Perform ad-hoc Windows Server, Linux Server and Network administration Ensure compliance with security requirements Miscellaneous duties as assigned Job Requirements: Excellent analytical-thinking, critical-reasoning, and problem-solving skills as applied to complex business-technology subject areas Exposure to complex processing environments Understanding of cloud (AWS and/or Azure) solutions end-to-end architecture Experience deploying and configuring cloud-native IaaS solutions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Good understanding of industry best practice security principles Understand mechanisms of cloud costs and can demonstrate being cost efficient Ability to write PowerShell including use of loops, conditional logic and pipelines Possesses strong Windows Server and Windows desktop administration Linux Server administration experience beneficial but not essential Network administration experience beneficial but not essential PaaS and SaaS cloud skills beneficial but not essential Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation Minimum 3 - 5 years\' experience supporting public cloud environments in either AWS or Azure B.S.
