This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. Responsible to ensure issues (control queries, exception requests and change requests) raised by Finance community are assessed and supported Support to improve internal control framework, to standardize, simplify and strengthen Haleon Finance control framework and provide guidance on Close and Control processes Work closely with Risk and Compliance team to revisit/re-design the control framework on Close and Control processes and reduce number of controls on global projects Responsible to trigger issues with control design, taxonomy changes to optimize control framework With a global remit across finance, support Process Boards and Operations Boards on compliance topics Responsible for maintaining Finance policies owned by Global process owners on control changes Work with compliance community on review of control documentation, process maps, and interacting with Risk operations managers, compliance champions, and external auditors where needed. Support global projects as an SME on global controls framework Provide support to business users on controls, remediations and trainings. Lead on initiatives to minimize risk and controls on Close and Control processes Support team member to perform and develop Be key player in dedicated forums of discussion on control challenges, design and updates with the team as well as third-party testing providers. • Preferred level of Education: Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Finance and accounting
• Specialist knowledge in controls is a minimum requirement of this control.
• Drafting papers would benefit from the employee being comfortable writing lengthy academic papers
• Minimum Five years \xe2\x80\x93 2 PQE
• Required to be able to respond to specialized accounting queries
• Additional certification required CPA, ACCA, CA, CIMA, CIA
• Interaction with global finance and accounting employees to answer queries regarding technical performance of controls.
• Experience and knowledge to demonstrate how controls are or should be mitigating risks
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Innovation is a requirement for the role as the analyst is expected to identify elements of continuous improvement within the Internal Control Framework to be able to optimize and fix existing controls.
