Job Title: Clinical Optometrist

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate

Clinical Optometrist

to provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision testing, diagnosis, management of ocular conditions, and patient education. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality clinical care while maintaining professional and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and ocular health evaluation Diagnose and manage refractive errors, binocular vision anomalies, and common eye diseases Prescribe and dispense spectacles, contact lenses, and other optical aids Detect and manage ocular conditions, referring patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when required Provide pre- and post-operative care for ophthalmic procedures where applicable Educate patients on eye health, visual hygiene, and proper use of optical devices Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with clinical and legal requirements Use and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment effectively Adhere to infection control, safety, and professional practice guidelines Participate in continuous professional development and clinical audits Should be able to assist or do circulation in OT as well

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Optometry from a recognized institution Valid license/registration with the relevant Optometry Council or regulatory body Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team High level of professionalism, empathy, and ethical practice Basic computer skills for electronic medical records

Experience

Fresh graduates may apply (if applicable) Previous clinical or hospital-based experience is an advantage
