to plan and monitor individualized nutrition care for patients in our psychiatric hospital. The dietitian will work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and nursing staff to support patient recovery through therapeutic diets that address both mental and physical health needs.
Key Responsibilities
:
Assess nutritional status and dietary habits of psychiatric inpatients and outpatients.
Design customized meal plans based on diagnosis, medication, BMI, and metabolic conditions.
Plan and supervise therapeutic diets for conditions like depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, eating disorders, and substance abuse recovery.
Monitor patient progress, food intake, and nutritional compliance.
Coordinate with the kitchen team for preparation and hygiene of meals as per prescribed diets.
Counsel patients and caregivers on nutrition education and healthy eating habits.
Address nutritional side effects of psychiatric medications (e.g. weight gain, loss of appetite).
Maintain accurate dietary records and update reports regularly.
Participate in case discussions, discharge planning, and health education programs.
Ensure adherence to medical, ethical, and dietary standards in a psychiatric care setup.
Qualifications

Education
: M.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition / Dietetics or PG Diploma in Dietetics
Certification
: Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred
Experience
: 1-3 years in clinical or psychiatric healthcare settings
(Freshers with internship experience in hospitals may also apply)
