Develop personalized nutrition care plans for various conditions such as diabetes, renal disease, cardiovascular disorders, gastrointestinal issues, and malnutrition.
Provide diet counseling and nutrition education to patients and families.
Monitor patient progress and adjust nutritional plans as necessary.
Clinical Documentation
Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including assessments, nutrition interventions, and outcomes.
Document dietary recommendations clearly for integration into multidisciplinary care plans.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and therapists to develop comprehensive treatment strategies.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and patient care rounds.
Assist in planning therapeutic diets for inpatient and outpatient settings.
Education & Awareness
Conduct nutrition workshops or sessions for patients, families, and staff.
Develop educational materials on diet management and healthy eating habits.
Compliance & Quality Standards
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, dietary guidelines, and nutrition-care protocols.
Stay updated with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in clinical nutrition.
Support quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition and patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
B.Sc / M.Sc in Nutrition & Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition, or Food Science (from a recognized institution).
Registration/License:
Preferably registered with a recognized Dietetics Council/Association (as per regional regulations).
Experience:
0-3+ years of experience in clinical dietetics or hospital settings (freshers may be considered).
Skills:
Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and medical nutrition therapy (MNT).
Excellent communication and counseling skills.
Ability to interpret laboratory reports and medical charts.
Good interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
Strong documentation and organizational abilities.

May require working in wards, ICUs, OPDs, and patient counseling rooms.
