Job Description

:
Conduct initial assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management of critically ill patients.
Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures (e.g., intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, ventilator management, etc.) under supervision.
Monitor vital parameters and interpret laboratory, imaging, and hemodynamic data.
Assist consultants during bedside rounds, procedures, and clinical discussions.
Ensure implementation of treatment plans, infection control practices, and ICU protocols.
Participate in the management of code blue situations and medical emergencies.
Inpatient & On-Call Responsibilities
Manage ICU admissions, transfers, and discharges in coordination with the senior consultant.
Provide round-the-clock coverage as per departmental schedule, including night duties.
Maintain communication with patient families, providing updates and counseling as directed.
Academic & Research Activities
Participate in departmental teaching programs, case presentations, and clinical audits.
Support ongoing research projects, data collection, and quality improvement initiatives.
Stay updated with recent advances in critical care medicine and evidence-based practices.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and infection control norms.
Coordinate with nursing staff, technicians, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless ICU operations.
