Assist consultants during general, regional, and local anesthesia for elective and emergency surgeries.

Monitor and record vital parameters (ECG, SpO?, NIBP/IBP, ETCO?, temperature, urine output, etc.) throughout the procedure.
Assist in induction, maintenance, and reversal of anesthesia under consultant supervision.
Manage fluid therapy, transfusions, and intraoperative emergencies promptly.
Maintain accurate anesthesia records and drug usage logs.
3. Postoperative & Recovery Care
Handover patients safely to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or ICU.
Monitor recovery from anesthesia, pain control, airway management, and vital stability.
Identify and manage immediate postoperative complications (e.g., airway obstruction, hypotension, nausea).
Ensure adequate postoperative analgesia and communicate with the pain management team as needed.
4. Critical Care & Emergency Support
Participate in the management of critically ill patients in the ICU under anesthesiology or critical care supervision.
Respond promptly to Code Blue / resuscitation calls, performing BLS and ACLS as required.
Assist in intubation, central venous line insertion, arterial cannulation, and other emergency procedures.
5. Administrative & Academic Duties
Maintain daily OT lists, case records, and equipment checklists.
Ensure availability and sterility of anesthesia drugs, airway devices, and emergency equipment.
Participate in departmental teaching sessions, audits, and morbidity-mortality meetings.
Contribute to departmental quality assurance, patient safety, and accreditation (e.g., NABH, JCI) compliance.
Support the training of interns, nursing staff, and technician teams in basic anesthesia care and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience
MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
Postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology (DA / DNB / MD) preferred; MBBS with anesthesia experience may be considered for junior roles.
Valid registration with State / National Medical Council.
BLS and ACLS certification mandatory.
1-3 years of experience in anesthesia, ICU, or perioperative care preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques and pharmacology.
Competence in airway management, ventilator handling, and monitoring systems.
Ability to manage perioperative emergencies calmly and efficiently.
Good communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

Working Conditions
Rotational duty shifts, including night, weekend, and emergency on-call duties.
Work in operating theatres, ICUs, endoscopy suites, radiology, and pain clinics as required.
