Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care within a dynamic hospital environment, specifically in a Level II trauma center. This position requires a blend of medical administrative support and hands-on patient service, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care during their medical journey.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care within the medical-surgical unit and operating room (OR). Provide support in various clinical tasks, including patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and documentation of medical history. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient services. Utilize medical terminology to accurately document patient interactions and assist with coding for medical records. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hospital protocols and standards. Engage with patients and their families to provide information, answer questions, and address concerns regarding their care. Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing necessary paperwork.

Experience

Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving patient care or medical administrative support. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Experience working in a Level II trauma center or similar high-acuity environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of coding practices related to hospital medicine will be beneficial for this role. Strong interpersonal skills are required to provide exceptional patient service and foster positive relationships with patients and staff alike.
