Job Summary:

The Cleaning Staff is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized environment throughout the cosmetology clinic. This includes cleaning treatment rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards required in a clinical and cosmetology setting.

Key Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Duties:

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all clinic areas. Dust surfaces, furniture, and fixtures regularly. Clean mirrors, glass surfaces, and windows.

Sanitation:

Sanitize treatment beds, chairs, and workstations after each use. Disinfect tools, equipment surfaces, and high-touch areas (doorknobs, light switches, etc.). Ensure that proper disinfectants are used according to health and safety regulations.

Restroom Maintenance:

Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and floors. Refill soap, toilet paper, and paper towels as needed. Remove trash and dispose of it according to clinic protocols.

Waste Management:

Collect and properly dispose of general and clinical waste. Follow protocols for handling hazardous materials if applicable (e.g., used gloves, cotton pads, etc.).

Laundry Support:

Wash, dry, and fold towels, linens, and gowns used during treatments. Ensure a constant supply of clean linens for daily operations.

Inventory and Supplies:

Monitor and report low stock of cleaning and sanitation supplies. Restock cleaning closets and carts regularly.

Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including those set by local authorities or regulatory bodies. Report any maintenance issues or potential safety hazards to the Clinic Manager.

Qualifications:

Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred (especially in healthcare or cosmetology settings) Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and sanitation standards Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks (bending, lifting, standing for long periods) Good attention to detail Basic communication skills
