Job Title: Clay Moulding Instructor

As a Clay Moulding Instructor at Nalanda Vidyaniketan, you will play a key role in enriching students' creative and artistic abilities. You will guide students in developing essential skills in clay moulding, encouraging them to express their ideas, improve their fine motor skills, and explore the world of three-dimensional art. Your instruction will help students build confidence in their creativity while gaining technical knowledge of sculpting and craftwork.
Responsibilities:

• Instruction in Clay Art: Teach students the fundamentals of clay moulding, including hand-building techniques, shaping, carving, and finishing.

• Curriculum Development: Design and implement a structured clay art curriculum that caters to different age groups and skill levels, fostering both creativity and technical proficiency.

• Individualized Learning: Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, providing personalized guidance and support to help each child express their creativity.

• Creative Projects: Lead students in creating individual and group clay projects, from simple forms to more advanced sculptures, helping them understand design concepts and material handling.

• Art Exhibitions: Organize exhibitions and showcases to present students' clay creations to the school community and parents, promoting appreciation for the visual arts.

• Art Appreciation: Introduce students to the cultural and historical significance of clay art, highlighting various styles, traditions, and artists from around the world.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and staff to integrate clay art into interdisciplinary learning experiences and school-wide projects.

• Assessment and Feedback: Monitor student progress through observation and project evaluation, offering constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field (Diploma in Clay Art or Sculpture can also be considered)

• Prior teaching experience in clay moulding or similar hands-on art instruction, preferably in a school setting

• Proficiency in various clay techniques such as pinch, coil, slab, and sculpture modelling

• Strong understanding of art education principles and child development

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills

• Passion for art and a commitment to inspiring students' creativity, imagination, and craftsmanship
