Job Description

Education:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dance, Dance Education, or a related field is a common requirement.

Experience:

Proven experience in teaching dance, preferably within a school or educational setting, is essential.

Dance Proficiency:

A strong command of classical dance forms, such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, or Kathak, is crucial.

Pedagogical Skills:

The ability to effectively teach and engage students of various age groups is important.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

Interpersonal Skills:

The ability to build rapport with students and create a positive learning environment is also highly valued.

Classical Dance Focus:

Experience in Indian classical dance styles is often highlighted as a specific requirement or a plus point in job postings.

CBSE School Experience:

Experience within the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) system, or similar, may be preferred.
