We are seeking a skilled and passionate Classical Dance Teacher to train students in classical dance forms while preserving traditional techniques, expressions, and cultural heritage. The teacher will mentor students in performance, theory, and discipline, fostering artistic growth and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Teach classical dance techniques, posture, rhythm, expressions (abhinaya), and choreography
Plan structured lessons according to students' age and skill levels
Train students for stage performances, examinations, competitions, and certifications
Demonstrate dance movements clearly and correct students' techniques
Teach theoretical aspects such as
tala, raga, mudras, and dance history
Maintain discipline, punctuality, and a positive learning environment
Choreograph dance items for annual programs and cultural events
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Ensure students follow proper warm-up and injury-prevention practices
Required Qualifications
Formal training/certification in a classical dance form (e.g., Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi)
Minimum
2-5 years
of teaching or professional performance experience
